Moore's Commercial Construction Services Department handles the installation of new trade specific systems in all types of commercial buildings.  We provide lighting, heating, air conditioning, and plumbing to our commercial construction customers to provide the end user a comfortable working space.  The purpose of mechanics is to assist the foreman with all job site activities during construction.  This includes installations, safety, and supervision of helpers.  Mechanics may, at times be required to communicate with their project manager, general contractor, and the owner.  A Lead Mechanic should also be learning and working towards becoming a Foreman.

Essential Skills:

  • Sufficient knowledge in the HVAC/Sheet Metal trade
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, both written and oral
  • Able to read and interpret coordinated construction drawings and all other job related documentation with no supervision
  • Ensure that installations are done by all job related documentation under direction of the Foreman
  • Help to ensure your team has checked all job site deliveries for accuracy and/or damage
  • Provide material takeoffs when requested; confirm materials are ready for release as well as schedule equipment and tools for mobilization
  • Provide a safe job site for you and your team by upholding Moore's safety procedures
  • Be a training supervisor and mentor for helper/apprentices and Junior Mechanics
  • Must have a valid driver's license and dependable transportation

Preferred Skills:

  • Ability to weld black iron and/or stainless steel duct
  • Basic computer skills; Microsoft Office, Internet, Email
  • Knowledge of Bluebeam, Navisworks, and Smartsheet
  • Journeyman or Master Card
